None of our climbs are technical. Any person in good health can climb Kilimanjaro with Tusker Trail. We do not climb the overused Marangu route. We feel that to truly enjoy the challenge, the beauty and the remote habitat, you should climb the longer, less traveled routes.

These are the most dramatic and beautiful routes up Kilimanjaro. The most remote and untraveled is the LEMOSHO LAVA TOWER ROUTE. On this route you will trek 180 degrees around Kilimanjaro's south facing glaciers. On our climbs we always build in extra days to allow you more time to acclimatize to the thin air at high altitude. On all these three routes we traverse some of Kilimanjaro's most striking and least traveled landscapes, including the base of Kibo Peak's dramatic south-facing glaciers.
