33-YEARS LEADING KILIMANJARO CLIMBS
Eddie Frank, Tusker's founder, has climbed Kilimanjaro 41 times since his first climb in 1977. He continues to lead many climbs. By doing so, Eddie maintains close contact with our ground operation in Tanzania and stays on top of local conditions.
He has handpicked the best and the brightest guides for their leadership qualities and personal skills. EXPERT MOUNTAIN LOGISTICS
The logistics and details that go into organizing your actual climb are vast and exacting. After thirty-three years of climbing Kilimanjaro, Tusker's crack team understands its mission is to plan and execute a perfect climb.
THE BEST CLIMBER -TO-GUIDE RATIO
We use multiple, medically trained guides on all group climbs. Other companies use one guide regardless of the group size, and usually with no medical skills.
With our smaller groups our group ratio is 2 climbers to 1 guide. With larger groups our group ratio is 5 climbers to 1 guide. This is a lot safer and more enjoyable. |
TOP-OF-THE-LINE GEAR

With the amount of resources that we put into the quality of our guide training and logistics, we spare no expense when it comes to camp gear, medical gear and food. |
